In summer you swim in Lake Siljan, celebrate Midsummer in Gropen and take the children to Leksand Sommarland, about 5–6 minutes by car. The outdoor terrace is open 1 May–30 September and breakfast is included.

## Midsummer in Gropen
Midsummer Eve 2027 falls on Friday 25 June. Church boats are rowed to the Midsummer celebration, the maypole is raised in Gropen and then there is dancing. Programme and times are published by Leksand Municipality and Visit Dalarna.

## A swimming day by Lake Siljan
Drive down to Orsandbaden on a warm day – the beach is on Lake Siljan. Pack a towel and a snack, and go early or late if you want it quiet.

Leksand Municipality describes summer visits to local heritage farms, with different opening hours at each site. They are an alternative to spending the whole day at the beach. Leksand Sommarland is about 5–6 minutes away by car; check the park's opening hours and prices. Orsandbaden is about 4 minutes by car. For a shorter outing without driving, the church by Lake Siljan is about an 11-minute walk and Hildasholm about 12 minutes away.
