# Spring in Leksand

In spring the days grow lighter and calmer. Cycle around the lake and head out on the forest paths once the snow has gone. Leksand Church by Lake Siljan is about an 11-minute walk from the hotel. The outdoor terrace is open 1 May–30 September.

## Wood anemones and forest paths
Once the snow has gone the forest paths open up again, and in May the wood anemones flower. Head out early in the morning, when it is at its quietest.

## Cycling on spring roads
Once the roads have dried out, spring is good for cycling on quiet roads around the lake. Dress in layers – spring days can be cool.

## Hildasholm and the art museum
Hildasholm and Leksand Art Museum are both about a 12-minute walk from the hotel. Opening hours vary through the season and are published by each organiser.

## Spring culture on foot

Leksand Church is about an 11-minute walk from the hotel, and Hildasholm and Leksand Art Museum are about 12 minutes away. Choose one or two visits rather than filling the day with journeys. Hildasholm's house tours and gardens have seasonal opening hours; check before walking there. The church by Lake Siljan can be a destination for a walk even without an indoor visit. The municipality publishes culture and current activity information.

## Practical seasonal notes

Pack shoes to suit the ground and an extra layer for stops. Spring does not mean every path is dry or every attraction has opened. Choose a cycling route to suit the weather and your experience; we do not promise bike hire at the hotel. Breakfast is served weekdays 07:00–09:00 and weekends 08:00–10:00. The outdoor terrace season starts on 1 May, not at the beginning of April. The sauna is free for guests during the stay and needs no booking.
